Civil War Token - NYC Staudinger’s Confectionery Store Card. Attribution: NY-630-BS- 1a Rev. 1375 (‘Guidebook of Civil War Tokens’ by Bowers).
This is a great example of an early Roloff large token! The Reverse 1375 E. Pluribus Unum die, which seemed cramped at the 6 O’Clock position, was wisely swapped out for the 1376 die before the vast majority of Staudinger Cards were struck. This apparently uncirculated 1375 with the less common 1a Obverse is a tough one to hunt down!
